About your local agent
Hi, I'm Harmon Maraman.
I'm a local insurance professional serving seniors and families across Georgia, Florida and South Carolina — with a special focus on Tifton and the surrounding South Georgia communities I've called home my whole life.

Why I do this
Seniors deserve a person — not a call-center script.
I kept watching people get overwhelmed by Medicare mail, changing benefits and rushed conversations with someone they would never speak to again. I wanted to build a different kind of agency — one where folks can ask every question, compare the real numbers, and reach the same local person before and after enrollment.
That's why the kitchen-table approach matters to me. I sit down with you, learn which doctors and prescriptions matter, explain the tradeoffs in plain language, and help you make your own decision without pressure.
With my family's 50-year roots in Tifton's Moon's Pharmacy, serving neighbors is all I've ever known. Insurance is just the newest way I get to do it.

Tiftarea Academy & ABAC
Grew up attending Tiftarea Academy, then earned my Business degree at ABAC.

Beyond the office
A little more about me.
Faith & church
I attend and serve at Northside Baptist Church in Tifton. If you're looking for a church home, please join us on Sundays at 10:30 for worship.
Outside of work
In my spare time I love to golf, play pickleball, hunt and fish, and putter around doing yard work.
Family
My wife Sarah and I share our home with our dog Rusty. Family is at the center of everything I do.
Why I founded the Help Place
Medicaid help shouldn't require an insurance purchase.
As I worked with more seniors, I kept seeing the same thing: good people getting stuck on Medicaid applications and renewals — paperwork that decides whether they can keep a doctor, afford medicine, or stay in their home. I could see the need wasn't being met, so I did something about it.
That's why I founded the Help Place, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people — mainly seniors — apply for and renew their Medicaid benefits. We also assist with food stamps (SNAP) and other benefits, and we never require anyone to buy insurance to get help.
Let's sit down at your kitchen table.
Whether it's Medicare, life insurance, or Medicaid paperwork — reach out and talk with someone local who will still be here next year.
